Shopping Cart
My coolest roommate in the whole entire world who is also my bestest friend...yeah we share a brain but anyways we use to live in this apartment in Price behind wal-mart and the road that led to it kept going and turned into this dirt road that went uphill to someone's house. Well anyways people from our apartment building would go shopping and bring back the carts from wal-mart and park them kind of in front of the garbage can which was by our apartment. Everytime we would pull into the parking lot or go to take out the garbage we would always see these shopping carts. And one day after class we decided to continue up this road, but we didn't get far becaue there was a gate so we had to turn around and go down the hill back to our apartment and when we pulled in to our parking spot sitting in front of us were the shopping carts and thats when I got my brilliant idea. As I told my roommate about this brilliant idea I remember her looking at me like I was crazy, but I was set on my idea and nothing was going to get in the way. For the next couple of weeks I tried to convince her that she should come and go down this steep hill up by the college with me in the shopping cart but she would have no part in it so I had to find someone else to go with me. I expressed my idea to all my friends and got about the same reaction out of all of them except for one, tiesh. Tiesh and I discussed how we were going to get the shopping cart from my apartment to the hill. We thought about asking some guys if we could use their trucks but that fell through. The only thing left for us to do was to have tiesh hang out my car and hold onto the shopping cart while I drove to the hill. From my apartment to the hill was about 3 or 4 miles but we wanted to avoid main street and the distance ended up being more than 5 miles away. That night tiesh and I went in search for some people to come and help us with getting the shopping cart from my apartment to the hill. We found 3 other girls who were willing to come and help. So we all piled into my car and went to my apartment. While I drove the girls were hanging out of the window trying to hold on to the cart but it wasn't working and we didn't get very far, it seemed like we would have to give up the idea on the shopping cart and then someone suggested we go to smiths and get a shopping cart from over there and plus it might a little safer because the carts were plastic instead of metal. This idea cheered us all up and we set off to smiths. When we got there we dropped tiesh off and we went around back. Tiesh then proceeded to go and get a cart and push it down this ally to the back of the building where we were parked waiting for her. Tiesh got in the front and held on to the cart while another girl in the back held on. We would drive for a little bit and then we would stop and let the girls in the back take turns holding on to the cart. After about 20 minutes we finally got to our destination. We piled out of the car, I grabbed my helmet that becky so kindly let me borrow from her and tiesh and I took turns pushing the cart up the hill. When we got to the top I got on to the very front part of the cart not even in and tiesh got on the back so she could "drive" the cart down the hill. Tiesh started running and pushing the cart down the hill...like she needed to run. It seemed like we were going a 100 mph. It was very rocky and I thought I was going to fall off the front, I was struggling to hold onto the cart. As we were going I noticed this dip in the road and I started to scream, as we hit this dip I went flying and was screaming and tiesh was screaming too, but she managed to catch me in the cart and we kept on flying down the hill. When we got to the bottome we both were so exhausted that we crashed the cart into the sidewalk and collapsed on the lawn in front of the old people's home. We laid there for a couple minutes and I told tiesh that we should probably leave so we left the cart and headed back to the dorms. That was probably the funnest thing that I have done while in Price.
